Aimed at budget-conscious PC users, the new A8-7670k packs a total of 10 compute cores which consist of a quartet Steamroller cores with a maximum clock speed of 3.9GHz and a six-core Radeon R7 integrated GPU.

As far as compute performance in concerned, AMD’s new accelerated processing unit is geared to go up against the Intel Core i3-4160 which is in the same price point ($110-120 range). Based on their internal testing the A8-7670K outperforms its rival on all three categories listed on AMD’s presentation.
