Cloudpad One 7.0 is first local Android Lollipop tablet

The Cloudpad One 7.0 will probably earn the title of the first local Android tablet running on Lollipop.

This entry-level tablet has a 7.0 inch screen with a resolution of 800×1280 pixels.

The tablet runs on an Intel Atom Z3537G which is a 1.83GHz quad-core processor paired with 1GB DDR3 RAM and 8GB internal storage.

The Cloudpad One 7.0 comes with WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, USB OTG, 5MP rear camera, 1.3MP front-facing camera, and 4,000mAh Li-Ion battery.

The tablet runs on a vanilla flavor of Android 5.0 Lollipop. We still don’t have a suggested retail price but will update this post once we get the details (we’re hoping it’s under Php5,000).

Sony sold the Vaio line of laptops about a year ago (read: Sony sells PC business; to focus on smartphones, tablets) and now we’re seeing a new laptops being announced — the Vaio Z and Vaio Z Canvas, minus the Sony logo.

The Vaio Z is a hybrid ultrabook that turns into a tablet with a 13.3-inch display running a Core i5 or Core i7 processor. They paired it with up to 16GB of DDR3 RAM and up to 256GB of SSD storage.

The unique style of the hinge allows the Vaio Z to transform from a typical-looking ultrabook into a tablet.

On the other hand, the Vaio Z Canvas is slightly smaller at 12.2-inches but converts into a tablet by separating itself from the keyboard dock. It will have the same configurations as the Vaio Z.

The Vaio Z promises up to 15.5 hours of battery life on a single full charge and have a hefty price tag of $1,600.
