In a statement published on Level-Up’s Website, the pRO team said that it was a difficult decision to make, noting that they have made countless milestones and hurdled all obstacles since 2003.

While it will be discontinued, pRO’s players will be given a chance to migrate to a new server that will be  established in the International Ragnarok Online franchise a month after.

Below is the statement of our friends from the pRO team:

To our beloved pRO community,

Since the launch of the game in 2003, many of you have been with us. Together, we’ve accomplished countless milestones and overcame hurdles. We weren’t just a random group of gamers, we are family and friends. And to all of us, Ragnarok was never just a game – it was our second home; a place where we discovered many things about ourselves and about the friends we met and have come to love.

And for these reasons, we find it difficult to share the heartbreaking news that Ragnarok Online will be concluding its local PH service on March 31, 2015. Please know that if we had any other choice, we would have wanted to keep going. Unfortunately, it seems our journey has now come to its end.

Thus, we wish to take this opportunity to thank you all for the support you’ve given us through the years. It’s been our great pleasure and honor in serving every one of you.

iRO MIGRATION

Though local service will be discontinued, we also would like to share that Level Up! and Warpportal are working together in preparing a migration program for PH gamers who wish to continue playing Ragnarok on its international servers (International Ragnarok Online or iRO). Please be assured that both our companies will be working hard in making the process as easy as possible for you.

Coming soon in April 2015, iRO will open a new server where accounts of PH gamers who opt-in to the program will be transferred. We will be providing information and updates on this within the next few days. (The migration website URL will be disclosed as soon as possible.)

Once again, thank you for all the memories you shared with us. And though we will miss you, we’ll eagerly look forward to cross paths with you again – someday soon, in another world, in yet another awesome game. Marami pong salamat sa inyong lahat. ROK ON!

pRO Team

This just proves that nothing lasts forever, indeed (#hugot). What were your in-game Ragnarok Online stories? We’d love to hear your RO memories on the comments section below.

After descending from the lighthouse, we went back straight to the resort to freshen up and be prepared for one of a kind dinner.

Our last activity for the day was dinner at Casa San Miguel. Highlight of our inner was the welcome presentation done by the Pundaquit Virtuosi. The Pundaquit Virtuosi has its own interesting story to tell. They were just kids living in Barangay San Miguel and was trained by Violinist Coke Bolipata. Today the kids are more thn just ringing entertainment to the guests. They are bringing much pride to the provice as its ambassadors of goodwill.

Smart triathlon team starts 2015 with a bang

The Smart triathlon team gave a stellar performance in its first race of the year, with president Pompo Arroyo [second from left] placing third in his age division at the National Age Group Triathlon (NAGT) held recently in Subic.

Six other members of the team, which is comprised of employees of wireless services leader Smart Communications, Inc., finished the triathlon event which serves as a qualifier for the 2016 Philippine National Games.

The employee-finishers were Melvin dela Cruz, Agnes Ganzon, Ben Silva, Danny Zapanta, Mark Sanchez, and Caroline Orcena.

The NAGT was organized by the Triathlon Association of the Philippines in cooperation with the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority.

The Smart triathlon team is one of the 20 employee clubs at Smart which seek to promote active wellness in the company so its workforce can live by the “Live More” manifesto. More information about Smart employee activities can be found at the @workatsmart accounts on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook.
