Newly released FCC documents suggest that Sony is working on a dual-SIM variant of their next flagship phone available to their consumers. Sony model PY7-PM0850 is the rumored Xperia Z4, while a new PY7-PM0851 model is suggested to be equipped with the same hardware configuration, with the additional dual-SIM capability.

This is not the first time Sony has done this to their flagship device — there was the Xperia Z3 Dual, which was made available in selected European countries.

Shall we see more than just the Xperia Z4 flagship, currently rumored to have two display variants, and the Xperia Z4 Music smartphones being unveiled at the MWC in around six weeks? Stay tuned to find out.

WhatsApp Web for desktop now available

WhatsApp, a popular multi-platform messaging app for smartphones has launched its web client called WhatsApp Web which allows users to use WhatsApp on a desktop with the help of a browser.

To be clear, WhatsApp Web is not an installable desktop program like the ones launched by Viber and Line. Instead, WhatsApp Web is a web client that utilizes your browser and mirrors your conversations and messages from your mobile device. This means that all of your messages are still stored on your phone.

To use WhatsApp Web, just open https://web.whatsapp.com in your Google Chrome browser and scan the QR code to connect. Do note that it only works with Google Chrome browser and your phone needs to stay connected to the Internet.

WhatsApp Web is currently available for Android, Windows Phone, and BlackBerry devices. iOS users sit this one out for now due to Apple platform limitations.
