O+ 360 Extreme now official

Along with the O+ 360 and 360 Alpha that were launched last month, the company also unveiled the 360 Extreme – a 5.5-inch smartphone that runs on an octa-core processor.

Oplus 360 Extreme

O+ 360 Extreme specs:

5.5-inch IPS display
1.7GHz octa-core processor
2GB RAM
Expandable 16GB internal storage
Supports up to 32GB MicroSD card
13MP rear camera with flash
8MP front camera with flash
Dual-SIM (MicroSIM + Regular)
3G/HSPA+
Bluetooth, Wi-Fi
2400mAh battery
Android 4.4 Kitkat

Just like on the EVO 4G, there were key information (screen resolution, model and make of the processor, official SRP and availability date) that were missing on the press release that were sent to us. We’ve already contacted O+ regarding this and will update this post accordingly.

Update: The O+ 360 Extreme is currently being retailed for Php12,995 and is now available in some O+ outlets and booths.

Update #2: The O+ 360 Extreme comes with a free accessory called O+ Tag. We’re not yet sure how it works, so we’ll have to wait for O+ to send us a review unit.

O+ EVO 4G announced, 5-inch LTE smartphone for Php7,995

O+ USA has long been criticized for pricing their products a notch or two higher than the similarly spec’d devices in the market. But the company seems like it’s slowly learning from its mistakes as they unveiled the O+ EVO 4G – the company’s first LTE-enabled smartphone with 5-inch 1280×720 display.

O+ EVO 4G

As you can see on its specs sheet above, the new O+ Evo 4G seems like a strong contender in the budget LTE smartphone category, especially if we consider that it will only retail for Php7,995 when it becomes available later this month.

Some of the key information about the handset, such as the processor model, GPU and RAM capacity, were not mentioned in the press release. But judging by its price tag, we’re inclined to believe that it will feature 1GB of RAM which will go hand in hand with the MediaTek MT7632 and Mali T760 GPU.

Note: We’ve already reached out to O+ regarding these missing information. We’ll update this post once we got their reply.
