Experience Harry Potter in IMAX, only at SM North EDSA!

Last July 15, I attended the media launch of the SM North EDSA IMAX Cinema. The event was attended by a good number of Manila-based media people and local media where SM has a branch.

After opening the very first IMAX Theatre in the Philippines at SM Mall of Asia, SM Cinema is once again leading the race towards technological evolution by opening another IMAX Theatre at SM City North EDSA. The exclusive opening of the IMAX Theatre SM City North Edsa will be on July 16, 2009 in time for the much awaited blockbuster movie, Harry Potter and The Half – Blood Prince TM

IMAX Theatre SM City North EDSA is uniquely equipped with IMAX’s digital projection system which will surely deliver The IMAX ultimate movie experience to all its moviegoers.

IMAX Theatre’s digital theater system uses a comprehensive suite of proprietary IMAX technologies, that, when integrated together, creates an experience that consistently puts the audience IN the movie.

This is the world’s most advanced digital theatre system and is superior to all conventional digital systems, just as IMAX’s film-based system is superior to conventional film-based systems.

During the launch we previewed an original IMAX movie entitled “Under the Sea”. Truly, seeing movies in IMAX is a great experience. The sound quality is above par. The visuals is superb and breathtaking. It was really a remarkable experience for me!

The photos featured at the exhibit were taken during the recently-concluded Tour of Hope, a 500-kilometer bike race from Muntinlupa down to the sports capital of the Bicolandia, Camarines Sur.

Every pitstop in key cities, lectures are done to educate the women on how to avoid the cervical cancer. As we GSK said, cervical cancer is now a preventable disease.

During the program Glaxo Smithkline also donated the sum of PHP700,000++. Amount which was collected during the week-long bike race.

The exhibit will run until Wednesday at the Main Mall area, fronting the French Baker.
