Matt Mullenweg, Volunteers, and WordCamp Philippines

Bet that got your attention. D

Well, Matt really is here in the Philippines, I kid you not. He has just met several bloggers from Davao City for the Mini-WordCamp Davao held a few days ago. Tomorrow, it’s the Manila-based bloggers’ (and those who’re loaded enough to afford the ride from wherever) turn for a chit-chat with the founding developer of WordPress. Should you miss your Saturday classes, ask Matt to sign your excuse letter.

Time for the most-awaited WordCamp Philippines 2008!

Bloggers-slash-volunteers met up today and prepared a few things for tomorrow’s event. Here’s a picture taken a few hours ago by Jonel Uy. Fritz Tentativa and Rein Langit aren’t included, sadly.

Some reminders:

  • Don’t forget to print your Camper’s Pass! No pass, no food, no kit, and no kiss. D
  • No flip-flops/slippers
  • Gadgets should be accounted for, so if you haven’t registered your equipment/s on the site, you’d have to do it manually at the gate
  • Program starts at 9am.
  • A kit is provided for everyone when program ends
  • After-event party at mag:net Café, The Fort. Entrance fee is P150
  • Have fun!

Windang na ako! I’m excited to meet Lexie Tolentino and Aja Lapus, plus a few other Web Standards advocates! Yay!

From Innocence To Adolescence…..

When was innocence's lost?...When did the world begun to change and it wasn't full of Barbie's and Transformers and you became worried about other things in life?...What's the hardest years? Some say its the 6th grade and 1st year high school years' the hardest...I'm beginning to learn that as our children begins to make that transition, we got to make a transition in our parenting style also...

One thing me and my wife learned is that 'our parenting style during their elementary years doesn't work anymore'...:-/

Care to share some DO's and DONT's?...Care to share problems?
