Eraserheads Night at Saguijo

The theme for last night’s gig brought you by Revolver Productions is Eraserheads Night. As expected, the bands covered some Eraserheads songs. The line up consisted of Frank Sinatra, The Purplechickens, Ernville, Spazzkid, Imago, The Lowtechs, Bagetsafonik and Chicosci.

Frank Sinatra did a cover of Pare Ko. Not a full cover though because they did a medley. It was my first time to watch Ernville, The Purplechickens and The Lowtechs perform live. D Spazzkid did a remix of some Eraserheads songs. Imago did a cover of Spoliarium (as expected). But I’m happy that they played Rain Song (not the full song though) which I haven’t heard live for years. D Chicosci did a cover of Kailan and Magasin with Raimund Marasigan on drums (he took the drum parts that night). It’s also nice to hear Chicosci perform Paris again. They rocked Saguijo that night.

Amongst the performances that night, I love Spazzkid’s remixes of Eraserheads’ songs. But of course, Chicosci’s set stood out because Raimund Marasigan was with them.

Room for Rent?

Know of any reasonably-priced (preferably downright cheap) one from around the Metro? I probably won’t be able to find another room like the one I rented when I was in high school (P1,000 a month, inclusive of everything but the food…cheap, right? This one looks promising, for example), but it’s free to hope for something similar to that, eh?

Planning to pack my bags and leave home again (a more viable option than the other one presented to me). One from Quezon City preferred. I don’t mind sharing space with a “stranger,” heh.

Oh, and I hate curfews.

How To Create A Search Engine Friendly Article or Blog Post?

A great way to expose your article on the search engines is to optimize your articles or blog posts as if they were pages on your website.

Here’s how you can get an article ranked well and generate tons of traffic:

1) Go to Google Adwords’ Keyword Suggestion tool and type in some general keywords in your niche. Look for a good Search Volume and copy those keywords into a spreadsheet or text document.

2) Search for those keywords in quotes on Google. For example, if your keyword is “dog training tips”, that’s
exactly how I would input it in Google.  Look for results of less than 2,000,000. These search terms are relatively easy to rank well for.

3) Write an article, optimized for those keywords.

4) Submit your article to the directories.

5) Start building backlinks to your keyword optimized article(s) as if they were pages on your website. You can try social bookmarking, blog posts, Hub Pages, Squidoo pages, etc. You will soon start getting some tasty placings for your article(s), and ultimately each article will start milking more traffic easily.

Your goal is to have hundreds of articles out there. That’s how you create massive traffic. And massive traffic is how to create massive money! If you are going to offer tips or advice, make a list of what you intend to include in your article.

Erap commends CBCP for admitting error on Edsa 2

Former President Estrada yesterday commended the Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines for admitting their in supporting a power grab afgainst him in January 2001 that installed Gloria Arroyo in Malacañang.

“I commend the CBCP in displaying humility and admitting their error in supporting my ouster. At least now people are beginning to admit the truth that Edsa Dos was a conspiracy, a power grab. Former Chief Justice Cecilia Munoz Palma was right when she said that Edsa Dos was an instance when the rule of law was thrown out and the rule of force prevailed.”
